History

On March 12, 1998 the ANANSE Foundation has been established by Hans de Wall and Jacques Bogdanovics, both consultant urologists in hospitals in the Netherlands.

The activities of the foundation are aimed - in the broadest sense possible - at improving the medical care in the field of urology in hospitals in interested African countries South of the Sahara.

The foundation focuses on those hospitals in countries which have expressed interest and commitment and where interventions in the field of urology are most urgently needed.

Presently urological care has been provided in Ghana while contacts have been made with parties in Cape Verde, The Gambia and Nigeria.
